First of all don't be under any delusion that its easy to undertake immigration to New Zealand - its difficult and expensive to immigrate..
The biggest problem to overcome is MONEY. Its extremely expensive.
To be successful we firstly suggest that you put into your heads that you initially relocate for a limited period of 2 years. You may say "we will never want to come back", etc etc etc. The truth is you may very well want to!! Who knows what things will be like in 2 years time? The most important reason for this however is to help one change their attitude when starting to live in NZ (this would also apply to Australia, Canada or anywhere else). You see as humans, we will automatically compare, criticise and as a result generally make ourselves unhappy if we think we are missing something. We will tend to highlight in our minds what we loose rather than what we gain.
If in one's mind its a 2 year "discovery" working holiday we will automatically look for the positives that a new country offers because we have told our minds we are not going to loose anything because we will be going back. It works. I am certain you really don't want to be labeled by the Kiwi's as "another moaning, negative South African" do you? Sadly too many of our countrymen now have this label here in NZ.
